inversion of top hat sections

The Hatset system is specially designed for integrating house connections in drain pipes which have been rehabilitated with inliners.

The top hat sections are soaked with a two-component resin in the operating vehicle and transported to the damaged area with the Hatset. The robot is positioned using a swivel colour camera.

The top hat section is pressed against the pipe wall with a rehabilitation plate and fitted to the house connection by inversion using air pressure. The inversion process allows installation depths of up to 40 cm in the house connection.

The Hatset robot can be operated as a cost-efficient add-on to existing EL 300/600 rehabilitation systems. It is, however, also available as a mobile unit with a separate control and supply cable.
